Limerick footballers cruise to fourth win on the trot in National Football League

Billy Lee’s Limerick senior footballers maintained their 100% start to the Allianz Football League with a 5-10 to 1-14 victory over Wicklow at Mick Neville Park in Rathkeale.

The win follows on from those earned against Waterford, London and Carlow and sees Limerick top division 4.

Goals from Mike Donovan, Danny Neville and Robert Childs helped Limerick to a 3-8 to 0-7 point lead at the break.

Iain Corbett bagged a fourth goal three minutes into the second half and the win was already guaranteed by the time Seamus O’Carroll found the net for Limerick’s fifth goal late on.

Padraig Scanlon, Hugh Bourke, Cillian Fahy and Adrian Enright chipped in with two points each, while Josh Ryan also capped an impressive cameo with a point in the final stages.

Limerick play Antrim away in their next game and that takes place in Antrim on Sunday, March 1st at 2pm.
