Limerick footballers learn qualifier opponents on Monday

The first-round qualifier draw of the 2018 All-Ireland senior football championship will take place next Monday morning.

Limerick find themselves in the draw following a heavy loss to Clare last weekend in their Munster Championship quarter-final clash at the Gaelic Grounds.

Billy Lee’s men were on the wrong end of a 1-23 to 0-14 scoreline as the treaty county suffered their fourth consecutive defeat to the banner in the competition.

This Monday’s draw will be broadcast live on Morning Ireland on RTE Radio 1 just after 8.30am and also carried live on gaa.ie

This first round draw involves all of those teams who have been beaten and failed to reach their Provincial semi-final.

The match venues and times will be confirmed by the CCCC on Tuesday afternoon with the fixtures scheduled for weekend of June 9th/10th. All matches will be required to finish on the day under the new Championship protocols.

The First team drawn in each tie will have home advantage – exception:  a Division 3 or 4 (Limerick in Div 4) team from the current year’s Allianz league drawn against a Div 1 or 2 team will have home advantage
