Young Limerick Goalkeeper Tadhg Ryan has joined Cork City FC from Galway United, the Munster club confirmed today.
After a year with Galway, Ryan joins John Caulfield’s side who will be hoping to reclaim the SSE Airtricity Premier Division in 2019 after finishing runners up to Dundalk this season.
Ryan previously plied his trade with Huddersfield before moving to Galway United earler this year where he was highly impressive in the First Division in what was a disappointing season for his side.
Speaking about his move, Ryan is motivated to work with the 2017 SSE Airtricity Premier Division champions.
“I made the decision to come back to Galway to get game time and play competitive football, and it was the best decision I have made. I have definitely matured, and game time as
young player is vital. Mark McNulty has been fantastic for Cork City for many years, so I am looking forward to working with him. I will push him, he will push me andhopefully we will get the best out of each other.”
“I want to keep getting better, keep pushing myself, you are never the finished article. I want to get as many games as I can and be the best that I can. I want to keep learning and I want to enjoy it.”
