Limerick greyhound supporters rewarded with IGB loyalty scheme

Limerick greyhound racing supporters are set to be rewarded with the launch of a new loyalty programme at Limerick Greyhound Stadium this Thursday (November 8th).

Spectators who come through the turnstiles five times will get their sixth admission to a race night in Limerick free. The offer includes students and OAP’s.

The scheme is being trialled in Limerick with the aim of being launched in all nine Irish Greyhound Board-operated stadiums nationwide.

On sign up, members will be given a fob to scan in each time they visit Limerick Greyhound Stadium.

Director of Events and Hospitality Services with the IGB, Philip Peake, said:

“It’s fitting that the loyalty programme is being launched so quickly after a very successful night on Saturday with the Barking Buzz App Irish St Leger final. Close to 1,500 people came through the turnstiles that night.

“Many of these availed of the stadium’s top class food and hospitality packages and Tote facilities. We want to make sure that as many of them return as possible, particularly as we come up to our traditionally busy Christmas period.”

CEO of the Irish Greyhound Board, Gerard Dollard, commented:

“The implementation of a loyalty programme that rewards customers for spending on our premises is contained within the IGB’s Strategic Plan 2018-2022, launched earlier this year. It’s important to us that we strengthen our positive customer experience while also showing customers it’s worthwhile to keep returning to Limerick Greyhound Stadium.

“77% of the population are members of a loyalty programme of some sort and it’s important that the Irish Greyhound Board continues to build on the strong relationship it has with its customers.”

Customers in Limerick who wish to sign up on site will be able to do so for the next four Thursdays and Saturdays at Limerick Greyhound Stadium.
