Limerick, Clare and Kilkenny hurlers along with the Dublin footballers will feature in the opening round Sky Sports 2017 Championship coverage.
The broadcaster confirmed today that they will be televising 14 exclusive matches this summer.
The Dublin footballers will be first out for their Leinster quarter-final on Saturday 3 June against Wexford or Carlow, just like they were 12 months ago for their Nowlan Park clash against Laois.
The following afternoon history will be made on Sunday 4 June as Sky Sports will televise a Munster hurling clash for the first time when Clare take on Limerick.
This move has upset many Limerick hurling fans who will not be able to watch the game on free-to-air TV. Not only this but news broke today that Limerick GAA supporters will also face travel issues as train schedules from Colbert Station are set to be disrupted for the month of June.
They will also be providing live coverage of reigning Leinster champions Kilkenny’s first game when they face Wexford or Laois in a provincial semi-final on Saturday 10 June.
Analysis will be provided this summer from Jim McGuinness, Peter Canavan, James Horan, Jamesie O’Connor, JJ Delaney, Ollie Canning and new addition Dick Clerkin.
Rachel Wyse and Brian Carney will present the coverage with commentary coming from Nicky English, Paul Earley, Dave McIntyre and Mike Finnerty
