Limerick hurlers to face Wexford Stateside

Limerick hurlers to face Wexford Stateside.

John Kiely’s Limerick senior hurlers have been drawn against Wexford in the semi-final of the Fenway Hurling Classic in Boston.

The official draw was held at the Offices of Consulate General of Ireland in Boston on Wednesday October 3.

Presiding over the Official Launch was Shane Cahill, Consul General of Ireland, Paul Flynn and Aidan Browne of the Gaelic Players Association.

In the other last 4 encounter defending champions Clare will face Cork in a repeat of this year’s Munster Senior Hurling Final.

The 4 teams will compete for the Players Champions Cup in a Super 11’s format tournament with each semi-final lasting 40 minutes with the winners proceeding to the final on the same day, Sunday November 18th.

The event will begin at 12.30 p.m. ET and it will feature a traditional Irish festival complete with food, music and entertainment. Over 30,000 attended the event in 2017 and tickets are now on sale at www.redsox.com/hurling.

All three games to be broadcast live on TG4, GAAGO and NESN in the United States
