Limerick Hurling and Camogie set for TUS Gaelic Grounds Munster Championship double header

Both senior hurling and camogie sides will be in action on the Ennis Rd on April 23rd.

Munster GAA have today confirmed that Limerick’s Munster Camogie Championship clash with Tipperary on April 23rd will be part of a double header at the TUS Gaelic Grounds.

It is one of a number of games that will be double headers to include camogie and ladies football.

The game will throw in at 5pm with the hurlers in action against Waterford at 7pm in the second round of the Munster Championship.

The winners of that clash between Limerick and Tipperary will advance to the Munster Camogie semi-finals where they play Clare. That game will precede the Hurling championship meeting of Cork and Clare in Semple Stadium on May 1.

If the Limerick camogie team reach the Munster final, then they will have home advantage with that game fixed for 12noon on May 8 with Limerick’s clash with Tipp to follow at 2pm.

The Munster Senior Ladies Football Championship will also be played on the same day as the men’s final with the venue yet to be confirmed.

The Limerick senior hurlers kick off their Munster championship campaign on April 17 in Pairc Ui Chaoimh against Cork.

The Waterford game is next followed by a clash with Tipperary before Limerick round out their round robin games against Clare on May 15.

John Kiely’s men are aiming for a four in a row in the province, having been unbeaten in the championship since June 2019.
