The second half got off to the perfect start for Limerick, as Managea’s Karen O’Leary was alive to the situation in the square to finish home.
There would not be another score in the tie until the closing stages, when Substitute Laoise Browne converted to give the Shannonsiders a much deserved 1-9 : 0-1 victory over the Cats.
