Limerick man captains Irish Pool team to European glory

Limerick man Neil Madigan captianed the Irish Pool team to victory in the recent European 8-Ball Pool Championships.

Held in the Gleneagle Hotel in Killarney, the six-man team defeated France in France in the final 8-6, to bring to an end the six day tournament.

The team consited of Eoin Collins (Shannon, Co.Clare), Mike Moriarty (Brosna, Co.Kerry), Maurice Cullen (Drumshambo, Co.Leitrim) and Neil Madigan (Prospect, Co.Limerick),Alan Claffey (Moate, Co.Westmeath), Charlie Ruddy (Manager) (Dungloe, Co.Donegal) and Philip Lawlor (Tralee, Co.Kerry)
