Limerick man into last 32 of World Darts Championship

Limerick man William O’Connor has earned his way into the last 32 of the World Darts Championship after defeating 26-seed James WIlson on Wednesday evening.

O’Connor, from Cappamore, who trailed after the first set, won the final two to claim a thrilling 3-2 victory in the Alexandra Palace.

This is O’Connors second time in the championships where he suffered a loss in the opening round.

O’Connor will now play Ryan Searle on Saturday evening after he defeated number 7 seed Mensur Suljovic yesterday.

After the match, O’Connor spoke about his desire to go further, confident in his own ability.
