Limerick name team for Clare football league clash | TEAM NEWS

Lee’s men have fallen to defeats to Antrim, Sligo, Down and Westmeath so far, and face an in-form Clare side who have won three of their four games.

Limerick football boss Jimmy Lee has named his starting XV as his side host Clare in the Allianz Football League on Saturday.

The action is set to kick off at 6pm in Mick Neville Park, with the Shannonsiders still in search of their first victory of the 2024 league campaign.

Lee’s men have fallen to defeats to Antrim, Sligo, Down and Westmeath so far, and face an in-form Clare side who have won three of their four games.

Iain Corbett captains the side from centre-back with Sean O’Dea behind him at full-back once more.

Aaron O’Sullivan is set to start in goal while Jim Liston, O’Dea and Colm McSweeney complete the full-backline in front of him.

Captain Corbett starts as centre-back, flanked by Cillian Fahy and Barry Coleman either side of him. Tommy Childs partners Emmet Rigter in midfield.

Paul Maher is named at half-forward, lining out alongside Cathal Downes and Robbie Childs, while Peter Nash and Jamie Baynham complete a full-forward line that sees James Naughton named at 14.
