Former Aisling Annacotty underage player Dara Costelloe has made a big move to English Premier League side Burnley FC this evening. He has signed for the club’s academy following a successful trial.
Costelloe’s former club Galway United announced the news on their official Twitter page this evening.
Costelloe became Galway United’s youngest ever player when he made his senior debut against Finn Harps in September 2018 as a 15 year-old at Finn Park. The left-footed winger signed for the Clarets tonight on a deal until June 2022.
The former Galway man has been part of former Aston Villa midfielder Steve Stone’s U-23 side as well as the U-18’s setup and featured in a 2-0 win over Newcastle U-23’s today.
