It is a repeat pairing from last year’s championship with the Shannonsiders to hold home advantage this time around.
The Limerick U20 footballers will host Waterford in the Munster U20 Football Championship quarter-final in April after the draw was made last week.
It is a repeat pairing from the 2022 championship where Limerick were comfortable 2-9 to 1-6 winners in Dungarven. This time around, Limerick will host the meeting which throws in on April 10 in the TUS Gaelic Grounds.
Again, the winners will set up a quarter-final meeting with Cork as they did last year. The Rebels proved too strong in 2022 as they ran out 2-15 to 0-5 victors in Ballyagran.
However, if Limerick are to progress then they will travel to Leeside for this year’s semi-final. Tipperary and Clare are drawn on the opposite side with last year’s champions Kerry awaiting in the semi-finals.
The final is scheduled for April 24. Limerick last reached that stage in 2005 with their one and only victory at the U21 grade coming back in 2000 where they went on to reach the All-Ireland final.
