Limerick reveal 32-player squad for Munster Minor Football Championship

Limerick begin their campaign in early April with Phase One of the Munster Minor Football Championship.

Limerick minor football manager John Ryan has named his 2023 squad for the Electric Ireland Munster GAA Minor Football Championship. He has named a squad of 32 players as they begin their championship campaign on April 13.

The team will be captained by Aidan O’Shea (Cappagh Rathkeale) with Evan Curry (Athea) as vice-captain. O’Shea is the only player that featured in last year’s clash with Tipp in the phase one final.

Cappagh Rathkeale are the best represented with four players. Mungret St Pauls, Athea, Fr Caseys and Kildimo Pallaskenry all have three on the squad with 19 different clubs represented.

John Ryan has also named his management team with John Murphy (Fr Caseys), Liam O’Connell (Mungret St Pauls), Brendan Donnelly (Bruff), Packie O’Gorman (Cratloe) and Tom Neville (Kildimo/Pallaskenry). Angela Hogan (Whitegate) is the physio, David Lernihan (Kilmihill) will act as S&C while Jaqueline O’Connor (Athea) is Liaison Officer.

Limerick will have Tipperary, Waterford and Clare in Phase 1 where the top two meet in the final to progress to the Munster semi-final. Last year, Limerick reached the first phase final but were beaten by Tipperary, 1-14 to 1-4.
