Na Piarsaigh are the team to beat in the SHC as they take on second favourites Patrickswell in a mouthwatering opener on Friday night.
Limerick’s hurling superstars return to club action this weekend with the start of the Senior, Intermediate and Junior championship across the county.
All but the premier intermediate kick off with the second tier competition beginning last weekend. A number of John Kiely’s All-Ireland winners were involved with the rest in action this weekend.
Senior
In the senior championship, Na Piarsaigh are the team to beat as they bid for an eighth title since 2011, their first. They take on second favourites Patrickswell in a mouthwatering opener on Friday night. The meeting of Doon and Kilmallock highlights the Saturday slot.
Four of the senior games take place on Friday night with a pair on Saturday.

Premier Intermediate
After an exciting opening round of action, the eight PIHC teams are back in action this weekend, starting with a trio of games on Saturday. Na Piarsaigh, Effin, Blackrock and Bruff were round one winners and they all avoid each other this weekend.

Intermediate
Again there is a full round of fixtures in the Intermediate championship with the clash of Pallasgreen and Crouch Kilkenny the standout tie after they met in last year’s semi-final. Knockainey and St Kierans are new to the grade as they replace Na Piarsaigh and Caherline respectively.
