16-year-old Drombanna native Róisín Ní Ríain is through to yet another final at the Paralympics following a third placed finish in the SM13 200m individual medley heat.
The final will take place at 11:42am our time, live on RTÉ2.
Ní Riain has competed in three other finals so far at the games, with a medal alluding her to this stage.
On her swim, she had this to say.
“It was okay, an alright swim, I would have liked it to be a bit faster but I got another chance tonight. Hopefully I can do well then.”
All of Ní Riain’s supporters from Gaelcholáiste Luimnigh and Limerick Swimming Club will be right behind her for the final, as they have been ever since the games started.
The youngest Irish athlete at the games has been smashing personal bests for fun in Tokyo and there’s still more events to come.
Ní Riain is coached by John Szaranek and recently completed Transition Year in the all-Irish secondary school Gaelcholáiste Luimnigh.
