Both Limerick Basketball outfits were in National Division One action over the weekend.
The Celtics took the court first on Saturday against the Killarney Cougars. A tough game was played between the two in quite a low-scoring match-up. The Limerick outfit came out on top scoring 59 points making the full-time score 59-54.
The win keeps them in touching distance of the Limerick Sport Eagles who are six points above them, and are currently joined first with UCC and IT Carlow.
The side face IT Carlow next which is major opportunity to further close the gap.
A big three by Andre Wolford steals the win for Celtics . Great performance by Cougars but a tough defeat to take 59-55 in a tough game with defences on top throughout.@kerrysportshub @BballIrl @radiokerrysport

The Limerick Sport Eagles suffered at the hands of IT Carlow which allowed the Carlow team to draw level with them in the league table.
The final score ended 99-92 in Carlows favor not for the want of the Treaty sides trying.
They face 8th place Fr Michaels next in which they seek to maintain pace at the top of the table.
