Limerick to have home advantage as TUS Gaelic Grounds confirmed for Munster Final

This year’s decider is a repeat of last year’s final which was played in Semple Stadium in Thurles.

The 2023 Munster Senior Hurling Championship final between Limerick and Clare will be played at the TUS Gaelic Grounds on June 11 at 1.45pm it has been confirmed.

It is home advantage for Limerick as the sides do battle in the same venue that they played in during the round robin stage of the provincial championship.

On that evening, Clare ended Limerick’s 17 match unbeaten streak. This year’s decider is a repeat of last year’s final which was played in Semple Stadium in Thurles.

Limerick will be aiming for a five in a row of titles that kickstarted in the Gaelic Grounds with a comprehensive win over Tipperary in 2019. Since then they have won the province in Thurles and Páirc Uí Chaoimh. Both of those venues were touted as possibilities for the 2023 final but it is the Ennis Road that will host the game.

Clare are seeking to win a first Munster final since 1998 when they defeated Waterford after a replay in Semple Stadium.

Limerick play Clare in the 2023 Munster SHC final in the TUS Gaelic Grounds on June 11 at 1.45pm.
