Limerick’s 2023 League and All-Ireland Hurling Fixtures Revealed

Limerick will be aiming for a four in a row of All-Ireland titles and five on the trot in the Munster championship for the first time.

The Limerick senior hurlers will kick off their Allianz National League campaign in Pairc Ui Chaoimh as the 2023 Master Fixture list was revealed on Thursday evening.

That game takes place on the first Saturday of February under the lights in Cork. Limerick’s opening home fixture is against Clare the following Saturday, again under lights in the TUS Gaelic Grounds. The Shannonsiders will be away to Galway and Westmeath in round three and four before rounding out their campaign at home to Wexford.

The League semi-finals are scheduled for March 25/26 with the final a fortnight later. John Kiely’s men were back-to-back League winners in 2019 and 2020 while Waterford are the defending champions.

They will begin their Munster Hurling Championship season on Sunday April 23 in Walsh Park against Waterford. The Gaelic Grounds will play host to the rematch from last year Munster final the following Saturday as Limerick face Clare. There is a three-week break to the Semple Stadium clash with Tipperary as they then host Cork in the final round on May 28.

The Munster final is down for June 10/11 with Limerick heading into the season seeking a first ever five-in-a-row in the province. The preliminary All-Ireland quarter-finals will be played on the weekend of June 17/18. The All-Ireland quarter-finals are on Saturday June 24. The semi-finals will be a fortnight later with the All-Ireland final on Sunday July 23.

Limerick have won four of the last five titles and will be looking for a record-equalling four-in-a-row in 2023.
