Limericks Martina McMahon moves to number 1 in Handball rankings

Martina McMahon’s She’s Ace victory over reigning All-Ireland Champion Catriona Casey on Saturday saw her just edge Casey to top spot in the latest Official Irish 4-Wall Rankings.

It is the first time this season that the Broadford star sits atop of the rankings, with the Irish 4-Wall Adult Nationals up next on February 15th & 16th.

Kildare teenager Mollie Daggs very nearly broke into the Top 5 in her maiden season playing Senior. Despite drawing level on points with Armagh’s Megan McCann, McCann holds on to 5th due to her having a higher “individual score” at a ranking event this season (Breacach Open semi-finalist) than Dagg.

McMahon continued her fine form after winning the 2019 All-Ireland Softball Ladies Championship in September.
