Limerick’s Munster Championship fixtures confirmed with Waterford opener set for Semple Stadium

Limerick will be seeking to complete a first-ever five in a row of provincial titles, something only Cork have ever achieved.

Limerick’s fixtures for the 2023 Munster Senior Hurling Championship have been confirmed with their opener with Waterford confirmed for Semple Stadium in Thurles.

With Walsh Park unable to host games, Waterford will be in Thurles for their “home” ties, starting with the clash against the champions on April 23 at 2pm.

Limerick then host Clare six days later under lights in the TUS Gaelic Grounds at 7pm. John Kiely’s men don’t return to action for three weeks until they return to Semple Stadium on May 21, this time against Tipperary.

The Treaty men round out their campaign against Cork at home on May 28 at 4pm. The Munster final is fixed for June 11 with Limerick seeking to join the Rebels as the only sides to ever win a five in a row of Munster titles.

The Shannonsiders begin their League season this Saturday evening in Pairc Ui Chaoimh against Cork. Limerick will conclude the group stage of the League on March 19 with the final fixed for a fortnight later.
