Former Prospect Priory and Janesboro manager Derek Braddish was the first person to undertake the challenge of picking his favoured team from his past coaching experiences for Sporting Limerick this week.
It was an exceptionally competitive team and Derek opted for a 4-3-3 formation. Braddish has taken a year out from football after keeping Prospect in the Premier Division last season and said he has enjoyed the break.
“I have enjoyed the freedom. I have been able to go to games in various leagues that I wouldn’t have seen before like in 1B and 2A. I thought I needed a break because when you are trying to do it right, you are putting so much effort into it. It is very time consuming so I felt after 12 or 13 years it was probably time to give it a year out.”
