LISTEN: Glin Rovers manager Shane Culhane speaks ahead of FAI Junior Cup last 32 tie.

Glin Rovers travel to Terenure tomorrow for their FAI Junior Cup 6th Round Clash against VEC FC (Dublin).

It will be a historic day for the Limerick club as they have never reached the Last 32 of the competition.

Glin defeated Ennistymon in the 2nd round in Glin before traveling to Tralee to face Strand Road in the 3rd round.

They were back in Glin for the fourth round where they defeated Turnpike Rovers in Glin.

The last 64 game against Lakewood Atlethic was a thriller. The away side grabbed a two goal lead with goals either side of the halftime whistle. Glin to their credit battled back to bring to game to extra time.

In extra time, Lakewood scored late on before Glin equalised with the last kick of the game to send the game to penalties where they came out on top 3-1 to secure a place in the 6th round.

Ahead of the game we caught up with Glin Manager Shane Culhane to speak ahead of the momentous occasion for the club.

“We always get a great crowd. There’s great following in the club and in this team.”

“Like anything, a game of football. Whoever puts in the best effort and takes their chances, that will be the deciding factor.”

“Hopefully we will get a goal or two and get the result. That’s the aim anyway.”
