LISTEN: Holycross manager Michael Costelloe previews Munster Junior Cup game

Galtee Fuels Division 1A side Holycross face Clare outfit Sporting Ennistymon at home on Sunday afternoon in the Munster Junior Cup (2.15). Its a great opportunity for the county outfit to reach the last 16 of the provincial competition. Manager Michael Costelloe spoke to Sporting Limerick’s Adrian Finnin ahead of the game and wants his side to do themselves justice.

Costelloe is almost at full strength for the game but has lost key player Niall Riordan to work commitments this week. “Yeah we are almost at full strength. I am happy enough but one of our main midfielders Niall Riordan has been called away for work. For a club like ourselves you need everyone. He gives everything for the jersey. There are lads chomping at the bit waiting to get in.”

Costelloe has urged the locals to come out and support the team and says winning would mean so much to the club. “You see in this area you have GAA and rugby. Its great when soccer clubs can get this sort of success because you see it when Bruff were in a county final last year, the local area got behind them and you would be hoping that people would come out and support us.”
