LISTEN: Kiely aware of “real challenge” awaiting Limerick in Ennis

Limerick travel to Cusack Park this Sunday for round five of the National Hurling League.

Limerick will not be short on motivation heading to Ennis after last years heavy defeat in the Munster championship.

Limerick manager John Kiely is under no illusion of the task at hand for his team.

Everytime you go to Ennis you know you’re going to have a real challenge on your hand. They have a fantastic record down there.”

Although they lie top of the table, Limerick suffered their first loss of the campaign last time out against Cork in a disappointing performance in the Gaelic Grounds.

Limerick never hit their stride and uncharacteristically shot 17 wides in front of a rapturous crowd.

“The most disappointing aspect of our performance was that we were low in energy. We didnt put in the shift we usually do.”

Emphasis on getting our energy back into our performance again.”
