LISTEN: Limerick FC captain Kelly pleased with start to the season

Limerick FC captain Shaun Kelly admits that it is very early in the season but has been happy with his side’s performances in the league thus far.

Limerick are currently in third place in the division and two points off Longford at the top. However, Kelly says it is too early to read anything into it.

It’s early in the season but the one thing is we are picking up points and we are unbeaten in the last few games. We were actually really disappointed with the draw with Wexford last week which probably shows how far we have come after winning four in a row.

We were expecting to win and when we didn’t win we weren’t happy about it. We are probably being a bit harsh on ourselves. It shows that anyone in the division can pick points off eachother.

Kelly also speaks about the crucial upcoming game against Shelbourne at Tolka Park. To listen to the full interview, click on the link below
