LISTEN: Lyttle excited by Women’s soccer finals at Markets Field

The Markets Field will host two finals from the Limerick Women’s and Schoolgirls League on Sunday afternoon. Firstly, Shannon Town Ladies will face Moyross Ladies in the Division 2 Final (1pm) followed by the Open Cup Final between Regional Ladies and Lifford Ladies (4pm).

It promises to be an entertaining event and LWSSL Chariman Trevor Lyttle is delighted that the Garryowen venue is hosting the event.

We are delighted to be able to host these finals at the Markets Field. Thanks must go to the LEDP for facilitating us with these finals.

It is a great honour and anyone who plays there will have a very good experience. Not many people get the chance to play at the Markets Field so anyone who gets to the final will have great honour in playing there.

Trevor also speaks about the increased interest in Women’s and Schoolgirls Soccer across the board while also discussing a number of initiatives started to increase playing membership at all ages.
