LISTEN: Murphy hoping Limerick can challenge for play-off

Limerick FC midfielder Darren Murphy returned to the club just two weeks ago ahead of the 2019 Airtricity League First Division season. There was a fear that the combative midfielder had opted against a return.

Murphy has become a fans favourite since his move to Shannonside from Cobh in July of last year although he admits it was a tough time to join.

“It was a new experience for me. I was very happy to come to Limerick and try and help them to stay up.

I enjoyed it on the pitch but obviously off the pitch there were some matters to be dealt with but it seems to be resolved now and things are looking up for the club.”

Darren speaks about the performance against Longford, the aim for the squad this season and his time playing under Stephen Henderson and Roddy Collins in the past. To listen to the full interview, click on the link below.
