LISTEN: Nash hopeful that his camogie side can build on opening day win

Limerick’s senior camogie side got off to a winning start in the Littlewoods National League Division 1 by beating Offaly last time out.

Manager Declan Nash is hoping for more of the same when they take on Clare at the Gaelic Grounds this Saturday at 4:30pm. The game is part of a double header with the senior hurlers’ fixture with Tipperary.

“That winning momentum is what you are after at this time of year. We have a good bit of work done in the early part of the year and the win would put a bit of weight behind what we are doing.

“We aren’t 100% result focused but it’s something that definitely always adds to the effort and work rate.

“Clare wise, there has been very little between us in the last three or four meetings. It’s a close rivalry. Clare is always a difficult match but a lot of the focus is on ourselves.”
