LISTEN: O’Connor Relishing Return to Football

Janesboro FC manager Jason O’Connor recently spoke to Sporting Limerick on a variety of issues including the possible return of junior soccer training and matches and what it would mean for amateur and schoolboy/girl clubs.

O’Connor admits he will be disappointed if there is a big gap between returning to training and returning to competitive action.

“I think everyone is chomping at the bit to get back onto the pitch. I understand with Christmas coming up and the lay-off that they have had, that players will need some time to regain fitness again. How long that will be is in the hands of the administrators. But, managers coaches and players are keen to get back to the pitch as soon as possible I’m sure.”

Jason also speaks about the new league format, the immediate future of the FAI and Munster Junior Cups, the possible return of a men’s senior team to the region and future structures to help develop football in Limerick.
