Listen – Sporting Limerick catch up with Greg O’Shea ahead of a massive few months for the Ireland Sevens

The Ireland Sevens squad travel to Dubai this weekend as they continue preparation for the Hong Kong 7s (World Series Repechage) in April where one of twelve teams will battle to earn a place on the World Series circuit.

Ireland finished top of the European Grand Prix rankings earlier this year to earn the right to play in the repechage and essentially all the hard work put in over the past year is to ensure that Anthony Eddy’s side secure their place among the core teams in sevens rugby.

Shannon and Munster Academy winger Greg O’Shea joined back up with the squad in November following an injury that kept him out over the summer.

Listen below as O’Shea speaks to Sporting Limerick about the upcoming tournament in Dubai, gives an insight into his training regime with Ireland and stresses the massive importance of the Hong Kong 7’s in April.
