LISTEN: Storan delighted with Mungret Regional’s Premier Division return

Mungret Regional will make a welcome return to the top flight of Limerick soccer after the club were crowned champions of Division 1A following a 3-2 victory over Cappamore.

It capped a great season for Mungret who were also winners of the Galtee Fuels 1A cup.

Speaking to Sporting Limerick about the success, manager Eddie Storan was clearly delighted.

“It was unbelievable. I suppose from my own side, it was three years of a process. I came in three years ago and we re-built the team.

“We got better each year. To finish league and cup champions is just unbelievable.”

Eddie also speaks about the achievement in more detail as well as the challenges that lie ahead and the future of the club.
