LISTEN: The Breakdown S02E38 with Sporting Limerick & Three Red Kings

First and foremost this week, we take a look back at the first test and where it all went wrong for Ireland. While there was no denying that Australia were deserving of the win, some inconsistent refereeing and big moments not going in Ireland’s favours didn’t help. We analyse all the key moments of the game.

With full weekend of test rugby, we look back at the other big games including Rassie Erasmus’s South African side beating England in a thriller in Johannesburg, while New Zealand hammered France but not without controversy as a cheap head shot by All Black prop Ofa Tu’ungafassi left Remy Grosso with a double facial fracture. Amazingly there was no TMO intervention on the tackle and no yellow card.
