Limerick Institute of Technology will have a home quarter final after beating Trinity College 3-21 to 0-8 at Moylish this afternoon.
Jimmy Browne’s side were too strong for Trinity and once Oisin Kelly buried their first goal on 12 minutes, the result was never in doubt.
Peter Casey and Peter Duggan also found the net for LIT in the first half and things got worse for Trinity after the break as the home side racked up a huge scoring total to come out with a 22 point win.
LIT’s Limerick panelists were withdrawn at half time ahead of their Allianz Hurling League game with Tipperary at the Gaelic Grounds this Saturday.
Trinity had two Limerick players on their panel – Eoghan McNamara of Doon and Na Piarsaigh’s Daniel Long.
