These wins would be followed up with a disappointing loss to Wicklow, who were guaranteed to finish last, although Fitzgerald’s side may have taken their foot off the gas, knowing they had a quarter-final confirmed.
The O’Moore county had to play a preliminary round to book their meeting with Limerick, following a third place finish in Group 1, and they dispatched of Fermanagh last time out to earn a trip to the Ennis Road. They head into the game as underdogs, priced at 2/1, while Limerick can be got at 1/2.
