Limerick Masters football manager Anthony McCarthy has revealed his backroom team for the coming season that includes a number of high profile additions.
John Ryan, who managed Limerick ladies to All-Ireland glory in 2018, has come on board as coach of the team for 2025.
Ryan’s addition to the coaching team is a big coup for McCarthy and the masters committee who are heading into their third year of existence.

Prominent referee Donnacha O’Callaghan will also be part of the management set up along with Mike Maloney.
McCarthy was confirmed for a third year as manager of the Limerick Masters at their AGM in December.
The Kilteely-Dromkeen clubman was at the helm when Limerick earned All-Ireland honours with victory over Armagh in the 2023 Spirit Cup Final in their first year and also took charge of the team last year.
Ryan brings a wealth of experience to the Limerick masters. He has a wealth of experience at the highest level, having served as Limerick football PRO.
He also guided the Limerick minor footballers to their first silverware in 2023 when they beat Tipperary in the Munster minor football phase one final.
Limerick will learn their fixtures for the upcoming season in the coming weeks.
