Two men’s AIL sides suffered semi-final heartbreak on Saturday while the UL Bohs Ladies are AIL champions and Richmond reached the Munster Junior Cup decider.
UL Bohemian endured a 23-18 defeat to Nenagh Ormond in UL on Saturday in their 1B/2A promotion relegation semi-final. Following a tough season the red robins have been relegated to division 2A.
All over here and the final score is ULBohs 18 – 23 Nenagh Ormonde RFC. We fought hard to the end but we just left ourselves with too much to do. Best of luck to Nenagh in the playoff final. Keep the heads up boys #UBL #playoffs #robins #proud

While Thomond lost out to Omagh 34-13 and will remain in division 2C next season. The soda cakes were close to automatic promotion coming into the last game of the regular season but failed to record victory in what was a must win game against Sligo.
James Hickey’s side only trailed by two points at the interval but lost their grip on the game in the second half as Omagh put in a strong closing 40 minutes.
Congratulations to @OmaghAcciesRFC yesterday. Disappointing for us but great performance. Great hospitality and losing to such a good club and people eases the pain abit. Fingers crossed we will see ye in two years. Best of luck next weekend

There was better news for UL Bohemians women’s side they’re AIL Champions for the second straight year.
Sean Fitzpatrick’s side saw off Old Belvedere 15-0 in Portlaois to retain their title.
Ladies are Ail champs again 15 points to nil. Brilliant as always. Many congrats to this terrific group
