Monaleen and St Kierans’ Munster Club Championship semi-finals to be streamed live

Both sides will kick off their provincial campaigns this Saturday against Clare opposition.

St Kierans and Monaleen will be in Munster Club Hurling Championship action this Saturday with both contests involving the Limerick champions to be streamed live by Munster GAA TV.

Both will have Clare opponents with St Kierans traveling to Cusack Park to take on Banner while Monaleen host St Josephs Doora Barefield in Kilmallock. Each game throws in at 1.15pm.

In the Intermediate championship, Monaleen return to action after capturing the Limerick PIHC against Bruff three weeks ago. The City side face a St Josephs Doora Barefield team that saw off Causeway in the Munster quarters a forntight ago. These teams met at the same stage in 2016 where Monaleen were 2-21 to 3-13 victors in the Gaelic Grounds.

The reward for the winner will be a place in the final against either Inniscarra or Roscrea who also meet on Saturday afternoon on Munster GAA TV.

In the Junior Championship, recently crowned Limerick kingpins St Kierans meet a Banner team who came through Kilgarvan in the Munster quarter-final. Shane Meehan hit 2-12 in their three point win over the Kerry champions. St Kierans return to the provincial championships for the first time in a decade. In 2012 they reached the Junior final but were overturned by Cork’s Kildorrery in the final losing 1-11 to 0-12.

Colligan take on last year’s champions Ballygiblin in the other semi-final which is live on Munster GAA TV.
