Mungret Manager Seanie Barry says PIHC will come down to “fine margins”

Mungret will be appearing in their first ever Premier Intermediate Hurling final on Sunday when they take on Kildimo Pallaskenry in the LIT Gaelic Grounds.

Mungret had a point to spare when the sides met in Round one but have flattered to deceive in the meantime while Kildimo Pallaskenry have responded brilliantly.

However, in their semi final win over Glenroe, Mungret were made to work for a five point win and that will be pleasing for manager Seanie Barry.

It is the fourth meeting of the 2016 & 2017 Intermediate champions since thiri respective promotions with little to choose between the sides each year.

As such, Barry is expecting ‘fine margins’ to separate the sides with ‘lady luck to play her part.’

“Finals take on a life of its own and it will come down to fine margins.”
