Chris Farrell out for season.
Munster will have to do without star centre Chris Farrell for their upcoming Champions Cup clash with Toulon as it was confirmed that he will miss out on the remainder of the season.
Following further consultation with the specialist it has been confirmed that Farrell will take no further part in this season’s campaign after sustaining an ACL injury while training with Ireland at the Aviva Stadium yesterday.
The Irish international, who was named man of the match on his 6 Nations debut against Wales, will undergo surgery before commencing his rehabilitation.
Farrell made the move to Munster from Grenoble last summer, the 24-year-old has had a positive season up to this point starting twelve times for the province and would have been a key member of Munster’s Champions Cup side.
