Munster officials bring Coop Superstores final forward to avoid dead rubber

Munster GAA officials bring Coop Superstores final forward to avoid dead rubber in last round.

Limerick hurlers will face Clare in the final of the Coop Superstores Munster Senior Hurling next weekend.

The two counties were due to play each other next week in the last round of the group games but seeing as both had already qualified for the final Munster GAA officials opted to bring forward the dates of the deciders to avoid dead rubbers.

Sunday saw wins for Limerick over Kerry and Clare over Cork meaning the last round of games would have no bearing on the final pairing.

Next Sunday’s final is a repeat of the 2016 final that saw Clare emerge victorious on a scoreline of 0-18 to 0-17.
