Munster Rugby issue squad update

Tom Ahern suffered an ankle/lower leg injury against Ulster and has undergone a scan, he is unavailable for the coming weeks.

The Munster squad have started preparations at the HPC ahead of Friday’s URC quarter-final against Ospreys at Thomond Park.

The game kicks off at 7.35pm with tickets available here.

There has been a fantastic response from supporters since tickets went on sale last weekend with over 9,000 already snapped up.

There is good news on the injury front for Diarmuid Barron (foot), Josh Wycherley (face) & Antoine Frisch (leg/groin) as they all return to training this week.

The province wished Rory Scannell a speedy recovery as he will undergo surgery next week after suffering an ankle injury against Ulster.

Joey Carbery suffered a thumb injury versus Ulster and will be unavailable this week.

Elsewhere; Dave Kilcoyne (shoulder), Roman Salanoa (knee), Jean Kleyn (knee/eye), Paddy Patterson (knee), Patrick Campbell (shoulder), Alex Nankivell (ankle) are all continuing to rehab.
