Jaco Taute underwent a scan on his knee yesterday after injuring in his sides win over Cardiff on Saturday. Taute will see a specialist soon to see the full extent of the damage.
In better news, lock Jean Kleyn is doing well in his recovery from a neck injury sustained against Glasgow. Kleyn, along with academy loose forward, Sean O’Connor, who also injured his next in that game, will be monitored over the coming days by Munster’s medical staff.
Keith Earls is expected to be involved on Saturday, Rassie Erasmus confirmed today, after being sidelined since early summer after touring with Ireland. Jack O’Donoghue is also available for selection after following his return to play protocols

Young Munster got their first win of the season in Athlone on Saturday defeating struggling new boys Buccaneers. Munster player Calvin Nash, along with fellow year 2 academy player Gavin Coombes, who dotted down after coming on as a sub, were involved as the Cookies secured the maximum five points.
In Temple Hill on Saturday, hooker Kevin O’Byrne played for Cork Constitution as they beat UCD 18-5 to keep the AIL champions good start going.
Shannon made it three wins from three on Saturday defeating Old Wesley 34-17. Stephen Fitzgerald and Duncan Casey, who got on the scoreboard with a try, featured for Tom Hayes’ side whilst academy duo Jack Stafford and Conor Fitzgerald started at half backs.
Third year academy prop, Brian Scott, started for Dolphin on Saturday as they went down to Ballynahinch at Musgrave park. Munster’s summer signing, James Hart, started at 9 for UL Bohemians on UL’s 4G pitch against Ballymena and scored an impressive 16 points for the Robins’ with a try, four conversions and a penalty leaving the University of Limerick side in sixth place after round three.
