Munster A team named for Ulster game

The Munster A team to face Ulster A in Banbridge at 3pm tomorrow (Thursday) has been named by Head Coach Peter Malone. The game will be played at Banbridge Academy.

The clash gives Munster A a good opportunity to prepare for their British and Irish Cup quarter-final against Leinster A at Donnybrook in two weeks.

Malone has picked his team to line out as follows. Dave Johnston is on the centre along with Stephen Fitzgerald at full back and senior player Ronan O’Mahony on the wing.

The front row consists of Jeremy Loughman, Rhys Marshall and Ciaran Parker.

Limerick man Calvin Nash starts on the right wing with Alex McHenry in midfield, Alan Tynan at out-half, Sean O’Connor in the second row and Gavin Coombes at no.8.

John Poland will play at scrum-half with Cork Cons Sean Duffy in the second row. Limerick club Garryowen have two players who will start at back row Mikey Wilson and Jack Daly.

Stephen Fitzgerald; Calvin Nash, Dave Johnston (C), Alex McHenry, Ronan O’Mahony; Alan Tynan, John Poland; Jeremy Loughman, Rhys Marshall, Ciaran Parker; Sean Duffy, Sean O’Connor; Mikey Wilson, Jack Daly, Gavin Coombes.

Replacements: Tadhg McCarthy, Joey Conway, Rob O’Donovan, John Hodnett, Colin Sisk, Peter Sylvester, Jack Power, Liam Coombes.
