Munster U18 Clubs team defeat Leinster 33-29 at Donnybrook to retain their title.
Fethard RFC’s Patrick Scully opened the scoring mid way through the first half with a try which full back Conor O’Brien converted to give the visitors a 7-0 lead.
Munster’s score spurred the home side into action as Leinster replied quickly with two tries and a conversation to take a 12-7 lead.
A Ben Daly intercept try, again converted by O’Brien saw the momentum swing back once again Munster’s favour.
In what was a fine game of rugby, Leinster one more hit the front with a 7-pointer before the break to take a 19-14 lead into the interval.

The lead didn’t last long as Munster again struck back with their 3rd try courtesy of Seaghan Walsh try, with Nenagh’s Conor O’Brien once again adding the extras to edge Munster into a 21-19 lead.
Munster then put some daylight between the sides when Jamie Shanahan went over in the corner. Daly slotted the conversion from wide out to increase the score 28-19 in Munster’s favour.
There was still drama to come in this outstanding contest as Leinster hit back with two unconverted tries to give them a one point 29-28 lead with the clock ticking down.
The final say came from Munster as Shanahan’s second try of the match gave the visitors a 33-29 victory and the Interprovincial title for the second year running.
