Munster Women’s Interpro Fixtures Confirmed

The fixture details for the IRFU Women’s Interprovincial Championship have been confirmed with the Munster Women’s team, sponsored by Keane’s jewellers, kicking off their campaign at Irish Independent Park against Ulster on Saturday 17 August, 3pm.

As part of the IRFU’s extended five-week Interprovincial Series, Laura Guest’s side will then travel to face Connacht in round two at the Sportsground on Saturday 24 August, before hosting Leinster in round three at Irish Independent Park on Saturday 31 August.

Teams will then be seeded based on their finishing positions with semi-finals taking place on Saturday 14 September and the final scheduled for Saturday 21 September.

The U18 Interprovincial Series will mirror the senior tournament with the Munster U18 Girls squad taking on their provincial counterparts in double-headers with the Munster Women’s squad.

For the first time, both Munster squads will be coached and managed by all female staff with a number of current and former Munster players as well as Irish internationals included in the coaching teams.

Munster and 36-cap Ireland forward Laura Guest is set for her third season in charge of the Munster Women’s squad, sponsored by Keane’s jewellers, while Munster and former Ireland international Fiona Hayes heads up the coaching ticket for the Munster U18 Girls squad.
