Na Piarsaigh, Kilmallock and South Liberties maintain 100% starts to LSHC

Two rounds in and Kilmallock, Na Piarsaigh and South Liberties all maintained their 100\% records in the Limerick Senior Hurling Championship.

Group one sees the current champions on top courtesy of their superior scoring difference ahead of Kilmallock.

Na Piarsaigh started off the weekend’s County Senior Hurling Championship action with a 16 point win over Ballybrown.

The defending champions made it two wins from two on Saturday afternoon with a 2-21 to 1-8 win in Bruff.

Kilmallock had nine points to spare over struggling Adare in Newcastle West as they ran out 2-17 to 0-14 point winners to keep their winning start alive.

They now sit in second position in the table. The Balbec put in a vintage performance in the second half outscoring their opponents by 1-11 to 0-4 having trailed 0-10 to 1-6 at the interval.

Elsewhere, Doon made a strong statement against Patrickswell and did well to bounce back from last weekend’s heavy defeat to Na Piarsaigh.

The East Limerick side saw off Gary Kirby’s men on a 1-20 to 1-17 scoreline, Dean Coleman secured the all important goal for the winners.

South Liberties claimed an impressive 3-18 to 2-9 win over Knockainey on Sunday evening, they now find themselves in top position in the highly competitive group 2.

Liberties were helped by a hat trick from the impressive William Hickey.

Elsewhere in group 2 newly promoted Murroe-Boher claimed their first win of their senior campaign, they had a point to spare over Ahane on a 0-13 to 0-12 scoreline. While Cappamore and Monaleen played out a 1-13 apiece draw in Kilmallock on Saturday evening
