The Limerick side reached the semi-final last year where they were beaten by a solitary point by the defending champions.
Newcastle West welcome Creggs to Cullinagh this Saturday afternoon in the first round of the Energia All-Ireland Cup at 2.30pm.

The All-Ireland Cup is the premier competition for Junior clubs in Ireland and Newcastle West will be looking to go one further than last year when they were beaten in the semi-finals by Clogher Valley.
The Fermanagh club went on to win the competition with Newcastle West hoping for a similarly lengthy run this year.
That was their second successive victory in the competition as the pipped the West Limerick side by just a point in Newcastle West.
In March of last year, the Limerick side claimed a first ever Junior Clubs Challenge Cup with a deserving 35-16 win over Clanwilliam.
