The Limerick village is the home of manager John Kiely, who sits in second most All-Ireland’s won as a manager.
As the Limerick hurlers continue their homecomings following their All-Ireland success, Galbally will be their next destination as they are set for a hero’s welcome tonight at 8pm.
The event will take place in Galbally GAA field and gates will be opened from 6pm onwards. The players are expected to take the stage at 8pm. Local music band Kim’s People will be playing during the evening.
Although Limerick may have won three All Ireland’s in a row, this is their first homecoming since their triumph under John Kiely in 2018.
Galbally is also the home of the Limerick manager, who has been in high spirits since completing his fourth Liam MacCarthy in five years as he serenaded the Treaty faithful in the TUS Gaelic Grounds on Monday evening.
The players have already ticked the TUS Gaelic Grounds and Adare, the home of captain Declan Hannon, off their homecoming list since Sunday’s win against Kilkenny.
