I.NY to host viewing of 1947 All Ireland Football Final at LIT’s Millennium Theatre

The final was the first and only time the event was held outside of Ireland.

The I.NY festival is set to run until the 15th of October with a selection of events to choose from. Tuesday evening will see a screening of the 1947 All Ireland Final between Kerry and Cavan which was played at the Polo Grounds in New York.
The screeneing of the final will be followed by a commentary from Micheál Ó Muircheartaigh, Dara O’ Cinnéide and Diarmuid Lyng. The screening of the event will be held at the Millennium Theatre in LIT on Tuesday October 1oth at 7:30pm with a Q&A afterwards.
